£26 for 2026 Raises an Incredible £2,349

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in the PTFA’s £26 for 2026 Fundraising Challenge.

Pupils were challenged to raise £26 each to help fund a new playground sun shelter and new playground equipment. The response was fantastic, with 59 pupils accepting the challenge and showing an amazing amount of enthusiasm, creativity and determination.

Fundraising ideas included helping family members with chores, baking and selling cakes, making bracelets, completing mini challenges over 26 days and organising community events. One pupil was even sponsored to cut off their hair and donate it to the Little Princess Trust.

Together, the pupils raised an incredible £2,349.

A special mention goes to Vera, who was the highest individual fundraiser in the primary school, raising a brilliant £224.

To celebrate everyone’s efforts, two winners were chosen from each class: the pupil who raised the most money and the pupil with the most creative fundraising idea. Each winner received a certificate in assembly and was invited to a special movie afternoon with Mrs Gould.

A huge thank you to every child, parent, family member and supporter who helped make the challenge such a success. Every pound raised takes us another step closer to creating an even better playground for all pupils to enjoy.
